The Pyramid of Khafre is the second-largest of the Giza pyramids and was built for King Khafre. It is also known as the Chephren Pyramid.

Although slightly smaller than the Great Pyramid of Khufu, it appears taller due to its higher location on the Giza Plateau and the preserved casing stones at its uppermost part.

The smallest of the Giza pyramids, It is also known as the Mykerinos Pyramid. It is notable for preserving part of its original granite casing at the lower sections of the pyramid, which was brought from Aswan.

The Sphinx

Next, you will visit the Great Sphinx, the legendary guardian of the Giza Plateau for thousands of years. The statue combines the body of a lion with the head of a pharaoh and is believed to represent King Khafre, dating back to his reign.

The Sphinx was carved from a single block of limestone, and despite centuries of wind and sand erosion affecting parts of its face, it still retains its massive scale and majestic presence, continuing to amaze visitors to this day.

The Valley Temple

Your final stop during the tour will be the Valley Temple, one of the most important parts of King Khafre’s funerary complex on the Giza Plateau.
