Your tour begins with a visit to the Valley of the Kings, where the kings of the 18th, 19th, and 20th Dynasties were buried during the New Kingdom period. The valley contains more than 60 royal tombs belonging to some of the most prominent pharaohs, including Thutmose III, Amenhotep II, Merneptah, Ramses VI, and Tutankhamun.

Hatshepsut Temple

Your next stop is Hatshepsut Temple, dedicated to the first female pharaoh to rule ancient Egypt. It is distinguished by its unique terraced design, consisting of three levels that reflect the magnificence of architecture during the New Kingdom period.

The temple contains remarkable reliefs documenting the queen’s achievements, most notably her famous trading expedition to the Land of Punt (Somalia).

Colossi of Memnon

Stop to admire the giant Colossi of Memnon of King Amenhotep III. Carved from quartzite sandstone, these impressive statues are the last remaining remnants of his massive mortuary temple on Luxor’s West Bank.

Lunch Break

Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant after crossing to Luxor East Bank.

Karnak Temple

Continue your tour to Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex in the ancient world, dedicated to the god Amun, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu. It was considered the main center of worship in ancient Thebes.

The complex features numerous temples and halls, most notably the Great Hypostyle Hall with its 134 massive columns decorated with hieroglyphic inscriptions.

It also contains the obelisks of famous kings and queens such as Hatshepsut and Thutmose I, in addition to the Sacred Lake, which was used for religious rituals and purification ceremonies.

Luxor Temple

Your final stop is Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III and completed during the reign of Ramses II. The temple was dedicated to the god Amun and his consort Mut and served as an important center for religious celebrations in ancient Thebes.

The temple remains remarkably well preserved to this day and is connected to Karnak Temple by the famous Avenue of Sphinxes.
