* Pick up time will be at 07:00 am from your hotel in Giza or in Cairo, then driving to” Tanis” that takes about 2.5 hours

Arrival to Tanis archeological site

* Upon arrival to Tanis the tour guide will explain the whole site as there were a number of temples, seven according to the Egyptian government, located in the area of Tanis. The chief deities worshiped there were Amun, his wife, Mut and the child Khonsu, who formed the Tanis Triad.

* Also, there are group of royal tombs some of them were found intact full of silver and gold for
several kings from Dynasty 21 , 22 and 23 like kings Sheshonq III , Psamtik and Psusennes I

* After visiting the archeological site in Tanis we will have diffrent experience by the coast as we will drive for one more hour to city of Port said by the Mediterranean sea

he things there were reused from other locations and earlier reigns .Tanis was built upon the Nile distributary known as Bahr Saft, which is now only a small silted up stream that dispatches into Lake Manzalla.and it was the capital of Egypt for more than 250 years
